To be read when you reach teen age...
Bastie-udooo,
As I write this letter, you’re celebrating your second birthday. Happy, happy birthday little man, bastie-kun, udooooo, pogi bastie, big boy…”grins”
You’re now grown up, a real big boy and you look so adorable with your charming smiles and bright eyes. Hmm…, if you were here, we’d celebrate in McDonalds or Jollibee (whichever you like best or whom you don’t fear at) and I’d organize your party with lots of balloons, piƱatas, and plenty of colors and cheers. We used to celebrate your monthly birthdays with your mum and dad and sometimes with your fluffy pals in simple yet warm and in colorful ways. I remember that I made clay cakes for you because that was the only thing I could give to you, not the real ones, hehehe. Your mum would always put on the cutest clothes for you, and your dad would always cook the best feast for your birthday.
Bastie, you grow up so fast, when you were still here, I could carry you in one hand and now I think that I’d having a hard time to catch you around. Before, you look so fragile however; you already got that saccharine smiles and cheerful eyes. I missed hugging you and dancing you till you got asleep in my arms, that’s one of the best things in life Bastie and I thank you for that. And now, you’re a big boy already, high five pal! I heard from your mum that you talk a lot and you’re so active that you love to hide inside the cupboards, play with the utensils, read books, watch Elmo and most especially, you love riding on cars. I’m very much glad that you turned to be an active little man.
I am pretty sure that when you reach teenage, girls would line up to you, I bet you already got one while reading this letter. Bastie, I want you to choose a girl just like your mum. Your mum is totally cool; she knows how to enjoy life to the fullest while giving her full hearth to her family. Your mum never failed us; she has been a great daughter and a high-five sister for me. She’s our mom’s favorite and I couldn’t disagree with this though your Lola keeps on telling us that there’s no such thing as favorite, “shrugs”. Your mum made a lot of sacrifice for her family and she helped me immeasurably and I don’t know how I could give back that love out of gratitude. I hope you’d find a girl just like her. Being a look-alike with your mum is a plus factor but beauty from within is still the best aspect.
On the other hand, Bastie, I know that you’d grow just like your dad, an intelligent, responsible, and righteous man.Your dad is a man of few words but he’s easy to get a long and very accommodating. He’s an achiever and a family-centered man and I hope that you’d get these qualities from your daddy. He is very sweet with your mum and incredibly patient too with your mum’s hormonal changes, hehehe. I hope that you’d take care of your girl just like your dad doing with your mum. I thank your dad for coming into my sister’s life for I know that he made her the happiest woman in the world.
Bastie, you have a really nice family. Your parents are doing the best they can to give you the best life possible. I want you to cherish every moment with your family and get to know them very well; you’d be very proud buddy. Just enjoy life but never let go of the values that your parents has thought you. Good life will come into your way, just look at the future with enthusiasm and look back at the past with pleasure while enjoying every steps of the present. I know that you’d be a great man. I’m just right here buddy in case you need back up.
Happy Birthday again…
Love lots,
Tito Putoks
