i hope it rains...

It's almost 5pm when the rain started to teem on earth. “My moment”- said to myself in an engaging tranquil tone as if I had an image of manna falling from the sky. It poured hard and it created a fervent sound, a thumping reverberation on the tin roof and creating a rhythm, a harmony, a melody in my ears. The resonance had quivered my senses, swinging my body, lifting my spirit, and launching my heart to heaven. I made a hot coffee and I sat on the couch, listening to the air brought by the rain as it leads through my lucid imagination. Then I took a few sips of my coffee and loomed into the open door. The fresh, crispy wind had seized me, unfolding myself to my own buoyancy. And the raindrops were dancing as they touch the ground with intense joy, just like meeting up for your loved ones after long years of waiting. “It’s raining hard and I hope it doesn’t end…”I took my coffee and drank it til’ the last drop, savoring the aroma as it travels with the air. I sat down on the couch and let myself to drift into the realm of my fantasy til' d last drop of the rain...

the issues...

I had a good sleep though I went to bed very late, four in the morning. While I was savoring the breakfast, I picked up my new book of Han Nolan which I bought on sale – as usual. The story started with the adventure of two lads in making a still to produce alcohol which they thought that would turn their chest hair into a carpet. My own frigging experience of puberty came into flash. Though I already entered the dawn of twenties, the “firsts” will always be fresh, vivid and will definitely make an LOL reminiscing time for me.

Here’s the flash back:
The top 8 puberty issues (relationship excluded)

1. Chest hair:
I really had a considerable problem on how would I make my chest hair to grow thicker. I even thought of applying Sabila extracts to do the trick. Seven years have transpired and luckily It dint bother me now.
2. Hair, hair, and more hair: The mustache and beard. The accessory hair that symbolizes manhood, the image of “balbasarado”. With my axillary hair, it was fun monitoring how it flourished my armpits that used to smell like baby, but now it smells like baby pa din,lol....
3. The bush under: to trim or to shave. My skin got sore after shaving it. Lesson learned – don’t bother that bush. It has a purpose.
4. Voice: whenever I would hear comments about how my voice turned husky, it never failed to boost my mature ego. Ehem, ehem, hear that?
5. The kiss: The first tutorial was with my own clenched hand, on the lateral area between the thumb and the index finger that looks like (in my eyes) a rugged lips. Lol. My imaginary lips to practice the amor of kissing. Got that idea from TV.
6. Keep my private work privately: The CR was the first witness of my first weakness. But I always had a problem on how to keep it noise-free and privately. I was caught by mum doing that thing, sheesh… I forgot to lock the door. Whatta shame. And I even broke a lavatory by doing that business.
7. The dream: When would I own a porn video? And that remained a dream.
8. The little man: With a scale chart for growth and development of my lil’ man.

one more night

Last night my heart was born once again – a strange emotion had transpired and it was unexplainable beyond any word to begin. It was like my heart was melting down until the wicks of my veins were burnt into ashes. The feeling was ephemeral just like the smile on your face that flashed in my thought in split of my heart’s beat…but in a something else. It seemed that everything had changed just like the rivulets that turned into a drought piece of land and my feeling was bursting just like the volcano that released its dormant tension after a decade of reining in. Your “sweet hellos” that gave me air for a jiffy but then it suddenly turned out to be the poison that torn down my heart and hopes. It was the strangest message that you uttered with pure delights of milk and honey but then it was meant to starve me to death.
And also last night my heart was buried six feet under the ground…

im somebody's nobody

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us — don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

I’m no good in terms of poem interpretation, in digging out the gist beneath the lines, the words, and the tone of the speaker. However, this wonderful poem of Emily Dickenson, I’m Nobody! Who are you, had popped into my mind while I was reading the novel of Han Nolan. I first encountered this poem during my elementary grades, wherein we were given a poem recital. Our teacher explained all about the poem but I did not get any of her points, I just liked it on how I recite it; the rhyming sounds and how the poem struck me with the style that as if I was talking to myself only.

Now, at least I’ve tried to read between the lines. I’m nobody! Who are you? Contemplating about the first line caused me a long-drawn-out time. I’m nobody. It’s hard to be nobody when society has taught us to be proactive (that proactive are better) and the thought became the standard, the good, the quality. Throughout my life, I have tried to be somebody, somebody just like my dad, my cousins, my siblings’ playmates, my classmates. I've tried so hard to be somebody just to feel the sense of company and the feeling of being “likeable”. Time has transpired so fast, and I didn’t notice that I was acting somebody but in fact, I’m just nobody. I sounded like a crazy frog, blabbering just to be part of the crowd (which I didn’t recognize at first) and then I lost the sense of distinction, my own sense of distinction. I had the experience of spotlights and the cloud nine of infamy for once (at least) or twice and it made me feel like I was ten feet higher than the ground but then I fell...hard, so hard.
I remember, my high school friend had told me once that I ‘d have my failed days in due time. His words were so powerful that now I’m on my trying times, the feeling of the other extreme judging against to feeling I had on the spotlight.

Just lately, I felt “I’m Nobody”, a speck of dirt in the vast universe, floating, living, moving unknowingly, and just nothing. And for once, I felt a warmth despite of being alone, despite of my chilling hands yearning for a hand to clinch on. Somehow, it brought positive things on me - somehow. But as I looked on my cell phone, though I haven’t been “loading” for months, messages are still coming out. In that case, I’ve realized something, something very important. Yes, I’m nobody but I’m somebody for the ones who care for me, who still love( i don't know what's the right term) me despite of my blandness. They may not be a coliseum- quantity or can’t even complete a team in number but I know I could count them on my fingers. They exist not only because I think of them, it's because I’m somebody for them. I can be somebody for them or just nobody. It’s an opposing standpoint that you’d want to be nobody but you’d also want to be somebody to everyone.

uhm...

My SPEECHLESS SATURDAY...

Just tonight while I was waiting for a cab in the fast-paced street of Kamagong, I kept myself busy by singing in a stentorian tone of my dearie nursery song that goes like this -
” here we go round the mulberry bush, the mulberry bush…here we go round the mulberry bush so early in the morning….this is the way I wash my face, wash my face, wash my face….so early in the morning”
Then there was a man, a Steve Carell look-a-like 40-year old virgin, who gave me a diss stare that smacked as if I was so stupid and retarded singing that nursery rhyme. The f***! I don’t care even a speck of s*** for those filthy animals who think that no one has the right to lose ground with his childhood experience. It’s really annoying! I really hate it when someone gives that kind of stare, the “duh’ stare that as if they’re not d**b*ss (at times) to enjoy the petty things in life. Life is too short, so live with it to the fullest. Do whatever you want to. Shout out loud. Sing your favorite nursery rhymes. Be stupid as long as you’re not running on to other persons. Be crazy. Be yourself.

are we there yet?

Once upon another time...

Donkey:

Are we there yet

?
Shrek: No.
Fiona: Not yet.
Donkey: Okay. Are we there yet?
Fiona: No.
Donkey: Are we there yet?
Shrek: No!
Donkey: Are we there...yet?
Shrek: Yes.
Donkey: Really?
Shrek: NO!
Donkey: Are we there yet?!
Fiona: No!
Donkey: Are we there yet?!
Shrek: No, we are not!
Donkey: ARE WE THERE YET?!?!
Shrek and Fiona: NO!!!!!!
[Pause]
Donkey: Are we there yet?
Shrek: [talking over Donkey] Are we there yet?
Donkey: Hey, that's not funny.
Shrek: Hey, that's not funny.
Donkey: Oh, that's really immature!
Shrek: Oh, that's really immature!
Donkey: See, this is why nobody likes ogres!
Shrek: See, this is why nobody likes ogres!
Donkey: All right, your loss!
Shrek: All right, your loss.
Donkey: I'm just gonna stop talking!
Shrek: Finally!
Donkey: But this is takin' forever, Shrek, and ain't no in-flight movie or nothin'!
Shrek: The kingdom of Far Far Away, Donkey. That's where we're going. Far...far...away.
Donkey: All right, all right. I get it! I'm just so darn BORED!
Shrek: Well, find a way to entertain yourself!
[Silence]
Donkey: [pops his lips, then again, and Shrek grows more impatient, then Donkey pops his lips a third time]
Shrek: [restraining temper] Oh! For 5 minutes...could you not be yourself? [exploding] FOR 5 MINUTES!!!
[After another silence, Donkey pops his lips one last time]
Shrek: AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH!!! ARE WE THERE YET?!?!
Fiona: Yes!
Donkey: Oh, finally!

This is a famous convo between Shrek, Donkey and Fiona on Shrek 2 adventure; the 2004 animated film sequel to the previous film Shrek in which Princess Fiona's parents invite her and Shrek to dinner to celebrate her marriage, not knowing that the newlyweds are both ogres.

24 hours. 350 miles. His girlfriend's kids. What could possibly go wrong?
Coming soon... by plane, by train, by car.

And these are some of the not-so-famous tag lines from the 2005 movie Are We There Yet; a road trip of Nick, the playboy bachelor with the two kids of a divorced mother whom he’s dating. The trip was a disaster at the outset but with the usual happy script, it ended with “they lived happily ever after".

Here's my time...

What is the commonality between the two scenes? The agreement that I am referring to has something to do with the question “Are we there yet?” Both scenes are inquiring about “Are we there yet?’ the fixation of getting to a place in an instant that we usually overlooked the details and pleasure of the means of getting to that place. Just like with me, I usually get bored while travelling that is why I always schedule my trip during the night so that I could kill time by dozing off, though I usually having a hard time too. I always think of the destination place and the activity that I would do after I got there – the usual future-oriented maniac. I am not talking literal here, of going to a place and continuously asking, “Are we there yet?” This is about life. When I was a kid, I always think of being old enough to do the things that id love to do in my own. When I entered high school, getting the right vocation was my priority, and when I stepped into the world of college, the dream of having my own life was the biggest deal of all. I always look and savor the future – my destination. However, unavoidable things may happen, anytime, anywhere. So instead of imagining your destination place or securing your journey, it is better to enjoy the moments of your life, every moment...for you do not know when are you going to retire. I have learned that lesson already. That is why though I am living with a slump-like situation right now, I am trying to bite into the bright side of everything. Life goes on and life is too short. Instead of questioning “Are we there yet?’, it’d be better to enjoy the scenery on the way.

Every moment counts and you cannot turn back time…Spend your time with your kids – they grow fast and they will never be kids again. Enjoy the time with your mums and dads – it is the best gift you could give to them and you don't know when they'll be gone. Kiss and say I love you to everyone you treasure – take every opportunity to make them feel loved and with that you'd ENJOY every moment of your life.

It is not bad to feel sorry and sad, but a little mourn each day is enough. Be happy and enjoy the ride!!!

Thanks .....

Difficult and Demanding People

Difficult and Demanding People

The golden rule states "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

I thought that was the rule that will make the world fair and just but i was wrong... I had this terrible experience when i favored a person's request but in the end i felt that I was stoned to death.

As usual, i was hooked in front of my pc, googling, chatting, killing time...In my denouement, there was someone who sent a private message to me...simple pep talked for getting-to-know stuffs but then as we go on with our conversation, i noticed that he started to demand things on me. Damn!...

Pop OuT:

"

Difficult and Demanding

people are on the hunt for a quarrel. It’s not personal, usually. It’s just that you happen to be the most convenient target.

Difficult people are insecure. They want YOU think and live like THEY think and live. Misery indeed loves company. They feel better if you are tense and unhappy.

What can you do to instantly neutralize their negativity? You cannot stop them from being difficult and demanding. Heaven help you if you try! But you can control your own reactions through the amazing power of NowFacts." by Tom Russel
