Sana pagbalik ko, nandyan pa kayo...

I was trained to become a proactive person. The vulnerability of my youth was taken care by my craft of getting to know the lives of other people. Criticizing made me to stand ten feet taller - for having such advantage than all the people in the world. But with words, you can easily detect abnormal mind from the standard, and you can read the next move of your decoders or even plan out a perfect counteract for their feedback. It took me days (or weeks) to decipher this floating feeling of mine until thoughts got crumpled and emotions got crippled. It’s all about the continuum – the past, the present, and the thoughts for the future. We were happy then, we’re confused at the moment, and we’re starting to feel the burden of anticipating the tomorrows. Lots of nights were already wasted on putting the blame on me, for all the confusion that sets us apart. I thought so hard and tried to dig out the real problems. Was it with me or with you? Reducing all the propositions and parameters of the illogical statements, the problem is no other than me. It’s simple, so simple to put the blame on me, and so simple reason to mourn each day. It’s a simple escape to the complexities or I may say simplicity of the problem. Don’t look at me that way and puh-leez remove that finger on my face. Do I really deserve it? Maybe, just maybe. But I do accept any consequence that you’d like to lay down upon my table. Simple! But let’s take a little review of the not-accounted facts of our time together – the not-so-remote past. I offered a genuine friendship and of course I made my craft of the getting-to-know phase interesting for both of us. My intention was pure, true - no stain of hoax. With just a little time, we made it through the happy merry go around. It’s nice, mushy, and dupah ubah supah cool. It was a good thing to think or wish that it would be forever. But here comes the clichés, read it; nothing last forever (only diamonds last forever), and - the only constant in this world is change. Fed up with these tag lines? So what’s next? Let’s just say that in every script there should be a twist. Alright, the whirlwind came in, but technically in our case it was a cold war or the unspoken grieves, the controlled misery that’s haunting inward. In your point, of course, the problem maker was me. In the eyes of the third observer, it would be the same judgment, I guess.
Here’s my lame excuse. Everyone has his own history, some are good but mostly are horrible…Alright, I forgot!!!
It’s Christmas
! I shouldn’t be talking like this…Let’s continue this on some other time, I’m just tired!
Oh, pardon me
- only given to a sinner!
Despite of the glittery and shiny ornaments around the streets, the children who sing merry medley and the touch of the wind, I find myself in solitude just like the monster with tiny hearts that lives in a snowy Mount Crumpit. I guess the Grinch has stolen my Christmas. Weeks prior to Christmas, I was very excited; I bought gifts early and I visited some good places. But then as the days came close to Christmas, my world became cold, blurry, and confused. And now – it’s black! Grinch why’d you do this?
Anyhow,
Happy Christmas to all of you!
Oh, it's crushin' me inside - the sublime moment of my life, my snowy wonderland...

It's grand, Innovative, Creative, World Breakthroughs, High-Definition World of Technology...Be ready to be mesmerized with wonderful Christmas treasures. Have a view of the treasure map and later let's dig out the treasures one by one
The place was really jovial and you could actually feel the total blast celebration in the atmosphere -excitement, fun, and flabbergast were the reigning emotions on the place. How’s being the third on the Nuffnang registration? What an obvious exhilaration! I came there with my VIP access and to know (and claim) the winner of “My First Sony Experience” blogging contest. But my excitement was raised to the 100th power of thrill when I saw the amazing products of Sony, the World Breakthroughs. Before I show you the biggest, the grandest, and the most advanced Sony Products, take a peek of the place first.
So what can u say now? It aint the real show yet. Hang-on to your seats and take time to drool over the VIP experience. How about the sumptuous food, the overflowing buffet food mania, yummy!!! It’s really VIP. But what about having a fine dining with a lovely serenade? Yes, while we were wolfing down the delicious-oh food galore, a golden voice of a sexy mademoiselle made a double drool effect. That’s really awesome. Then after that, the man behind the Sony Philippines made their inspiring speeches and spilled out their very own Sony First Experience.
Behold, the "WORLD BREAKTHOUGHS"
1. World’s First Motionflow 240Hz LCD TV: Bravia Z450: It enables the display of fast-moving images with total precision and smoothness by increasing the image stability by quadrupling the number of frames rate per second by interpolating three new frames to reduce motion blur. This results to a more comfortable and exceptional motion picture viewing. Just imagine you and your family watching fast, action-packed sports programs together without motion blur! This is the chance to see the games clearly and without any hindrance whatsoever.
2. World’s First Noise Canceling Notebook Computer: VAIO T Series Its feature combined with a Sound Reality chip and bundled noise-cancelling headphones to generate high-quality audio performance. It is also an extremely compact and lightweight notebook for business and personal use, providing exceptional audio and visual performance. The noise-cancelling feature of the VAIO T laptop enables moms to work productively in a house full of rambunctious kids. For the hard working executive, every second counts. Even in the middle of a noisy airport lounge or a busy shopping mall, he needs to concentrate and get some work done, the noise canceling feature of the VAIO is imperative for optimum productivity even in the most distracting environment.
3. World’s First RGB LED Backlight LCD TV: Bravia X450 The Bravia X450 is the world’s first LCD TV to have the newly developed RGB Dynamic LED backlighting technology. It brings to life the warm, brilliant and beautiful hues of the images in the screen. Combining the unique arrangement of red, blue, and green LEDs with dynamic backlight control, the Bravia X450 generates sufficient light to produce rich dark tones that replicate the most natural images for viewing. This is the perfect gift for your loved ones who can appreciate the vivid textures and colors of rich cultures and various hues of nature right in the comfort of their living room. The vivacity of the colors as portrayed on the Bravia X450’s screen will make them feel that they are really part of the journey of nature.
4. World’s First Slimmest Camera with Optical Image Stabilizer: Cyber-Shot T77 Right now, sharing of media files with friends and loved ones through the Internet is par for the course for young Filipinos. Sony has captured the youth’s need to have a stylish, yet, innovative camera. Sony’s Cyber-Shot T77 is the world’s first best, slimmest camera with an optical image stabilizer, Optical SteadyShot. Together with an improved High Sensitivity mode of ISO 3200, it reduces camera shake and motion-blur for taking pictures in low-light situations. These days, a slim and stylish camera is a girl’s best friend. It is a perfect gift for those who want to capture precious memories with their friends and family. Plus, with T77’s slim and sleek style, it totally complements your best outfits for any occasion.
5. World’s First Smallest, Lightest and Slimmest Full HD Camcorder: TG1 Handycam On-the-go types would be happy to know that Sony has invented TG1 HD Handycam, the world’s first smallest, lightest and slimmest full HD camcorder. It is just about the size of a wallet! This is small enough to become an everyday accessory. Despite the small size of this camera, the TG1 combines the power of Sony’s ClearVid™ CMOS Sensor with Exmor™-derived technology and BIONZ™ Imaging Processor, technologies commonly associated with digital single-lens reflex cameras (D-SLR). Recording sweet and precious everyday moments will be so easy.
6. World’s First Noise Canceling Portable Music Player: NWZ-S730 Series The NWZ-S730 Series, or NWZ-S738 (8 GB) and NWZ-S736 (4 GB), is the world’s first music player series with the integrated noise-cancelling technology that can cancel up to 75 percent of ambient noise. Its high quality EX Headphones also has an in-built noise canceling function that can also enhance you over-all listening experience. An in-box adaptor can also turn your Walkman® player and EX headphones combination into noise canceling headphones for other devices.
7. World’s First Noise Canceling Headphones: NC500D One of Sony’s latest forays into headphones is the NC500D. It is also known as the world’s first noise cancelling headphones. It can effectively reduce approximately 99% of ambient noise while providing a high-quality audio experience. An in-built Digital Noise Cancelling (DNC) software engine makes use of a digital filter to effectively eliminate ambient noise. Also, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Noise Cancelling feature of NC500D enables the headphones to automatically scan the user’s ambient surroundings and choose the most favorable noise cancellation profile by simply pushing the ‘AI Mode’ button. The generous-sized drivers and a digital equalizer to ensure excellent audio reproduction complement its noise-cancelling attribute.
8. World’s First 24.6 MP Full Frame DSLR: α900 DLSR Camera Sony’s α900 DLSR Camera is a world’s first in offering 24.6 megapixel full-frame Exmor™ CMOS sensor with a built-in image stabilizer, SteadyShot® INSIDE. The 24.6-megapixel Exmor™ CMOS image sensor in the α900 is designed from the ground up for 35mm full-frame imaging, and is produced using proprietary Sony planarization technologies to ensure an ultra-flat surface across the entire imaging area. The SteadyShot® INSIDE is a body-integrated anti-shake system that can capture sharp images with a shutter speed up to 2.5 to 4 stops slower than possible for a sensor this size. This sensor-shift, optical image stabilization system works with all α series lenses, including wide, fixed focus and large aperture lenses, which have traditionally been difficult to implement in lens-based stabilization systems.
“My first Sony Experience”
annoucement of winner
And then, drums rolling, the announcement of “My first Sony Experience” winner with miss KC conception, sheeeeeeeeeeeeee’s so gorgeous. She’s just a few feet away from me, ahh! No doubt why Sony picked her to be the Cyber shot model, she has the magical craft of smiling. She introduced the Sony Cybershot Camera with all the features on it, but i just missed recording it (was mesmerized, lol). Anyhow, here are KC's reasons for choosing Sony Cybershot.
My heart was beating so fast, and I got the itchy feet to stand and claim the award. But when Miss Kc spilled out the winner, OMG, green with Envy. I missed the cyber shot. But being at the Expo, having a close look at Miss Kc conception, and feeling and touching the Sony's World Breakthoughs were already an overwhelming price. (plus the feebies, whew, so greaat!)
"My Favorite Experience"
My favorite experience was when my newly found blogger friends and I checked over and tried the Sony Amazing Products one by one, station by station. It was fun trying out the Sony Amazing products like the Sony Cyber-shot. At the picture, we were amusing ourselves with the Sony’s Revolutionary Smile Shutter feature, designed to catch all happy moments automatically, no need to press any button. It was just fun smirking and making fun of our faces! Our next favorites were the Digital SLR station and the The Digital Photo Printer station. Take a pose guys! We were able to lay a hand on Sony’s 24.6 Megapixel 35mm full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor. What can you say guys? Stunned? Of course, it’s Sony’s World Breakthrough. We made our picture perfect (homey, I presume) pose at the station and viola, in one click our image was captured by the spectacular Digital SLR . Our model stand would not be complete without seeing it in a clear, hard copy. No problemo mi amigo! The Digital Photo Printer was there, and we got our picture printed for free. It was a unique touch in that cherished moment. Why? Because Sony’s Digital Photo Printer has the auto-touch up technology, it just one touch it corrects exposure, focus, and red eye, and smoothen skin. Next amazing experience was the BRAVIA: Best Resolution Audio Video Integrated Architecture Theatre‘Now Showing, Resident Evil”. You could actually feel the movie; I felt that it was real. The sound was awesome and the colors were vibrant, you could actually differentiate watching TV, and experiencing it. The experience was beyond definition. Then we went to Handycam High definition station. You’’ get impressed with Sony Handycam Features – the imaging technology of smile shutter and face detection and the High Definition Advantage. We were also astounded with Sony’s Digital Photo Frame . It makes viewing photos fast, easy and enjoyable. The Blu-ray Disc Player was the next stop followed by Sony Ericsson Phone , our extra appendage. We were hooked seeing the Bond’s phone with its titanium silver design, the image stabilizer, and face detection features. And of course, we wouldn’t miss the sexy models of Xplod Technology – the car visuals, amplifiers, subwoofers, and speakers. The World Breakthrough in Sony’s WALKMAN was astonishing. It’s perfect for chilling out while walking out. Lastly, the Sony Accessories suited for all your Sony techs to make every experience like no other.
"FREEBIES..."
by the way, you can avail yourself to this amazing Christmas Treasures until Jan. 18, 2009
A Woman was out golfing one day when she hit the ball into the woods.
She went into the woods to look for it and found a frog in a trap.
The frog said to her, 'If you release me from this trap, I will grant you three wishes.'
The woman freed the frog, and the frog said, 'Thank you, but I failed to mention that there was a condition to your wishes.
Whatever you wish for, your husband will get times ten!'
The woman said, 'That's okay.'
For her first wish, she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
The frog warned her, 'You do realize that this wish will also make your husband the most handsome man in the world, an Adonis whom women will flock to'.
The woman replied, 'That's okay, because I will be the most beautiful woman and he will have eyes only for me.' So, KAZAM-she's the most beautiful woman in the world!
For her second wish, she wanted to be the richest woman in the world.
The frog said, 'That will make your husband the richest man in the world. And he will be ten times richer than you.'
The woman said, 'That's okay, because what's mine is his and what's his is mine.'
So, KAZAM-she's the richest woman in the world!
The frog then inquired about her third wish, and she answered, 'I'd like a mild heart attack.'

I am a big fan of Ginkgo Biloba. It is believed that Gingko has the power to enhance memory and concentration, nice right? But always consider the intrigues about any drug without BFAD approval, lol. But because it was recommended by a family doctor, I apathetically tried it and then after a while it consumed me. As a right-sided gray matter average Joe, analytical thinking is quite a difficult task to do and it’s just through memorization that I compensate for a grave cerebral scarcity, *sighs*, at least it makes me feel a bit brainy. It was during high school days that I truly learned the value of memorization. The periodic table of elements was the first major challenge. Jeez, it was really tough memorizing the atomic number, weight, symbol, and etc. And to tell ya fella, don’t dare to ask me, still got the neurons that stored all the stuff about it. The taxonomy in my bio class was extreme. Name it buddy; the kingdom, the genus, the family, and the species of almost all the flora and fauna in this world, the heck!!! but I passed it with flying colors. How about the history lesson? Don’t ya know that pochero was M.H del Pilar’s favorite treat, ehem… (If not, now ya know lol. How about the Tinola for Rizal? And the way for Aguinaldo’s heart were just bibingka and cow's milk. See, these are some of the hilarious side of history lessons and I still wonder why’d we tackle these crappy things, *shrugs*. Anyways, memorization also played a major role in my literature subject; the Sophocles, Euripides, and the characters of the Romans and Greek Mythologies, the journey of the Geoffrey Chaucer’s characters and the stories of Scheherazade to save her life. Whew, that was overwhelming (on my part). The memorization trick that I’ve learned during high school was also the trick I used during my college life. Who says that nursing is easy? I, not blowing my own trumpet here buddies, just a relative opinion of an assuming dark horse, lol. Pharmacology, the drug list of bits and pieces, was a nutshell. The anatomy and physiology of the body’s organs and tissues, the pathology of diseases, and everything that requires memorization, even the laws and bills were not that though as compared to the opinions of the bacterial-like in number of nurses. This is too much of delusional grandeur. Okay, before you puke out because of my fabricated know-how games, lemme flip the coin -
My Memorization Problem
Last Sunday, I had an eerie feeling. I don’t know how to call it but it’s like emptiness. I felt like I was trapped in my hollow heart with guilt aerating around. I chilled out with my pc, but it didn’t work. I watched TV, I gobbled foods I went out of my pad, I walked around and did some other stimulating activities, but none of these gave a solution to my emo, even of patching out a small of hole of predicament. I felt that everything bad had flashed back in an instance, a reality game as if the problems were present at that very moment. The self-reproach was kept on pushing me on the memory pit of envy, lust, pride and the deep-seated feeling of unworthiness. I would like to shout, to vanish in an instant, to escape in that inescapable disarray. I just sulked at the corner of my room instead. With deep introspection, I found the answers – the terms. The answers that I dug out were the terms I bumped into before I stuck with the gripping passivity in life. These terms are looking back and holding back. These two terms have different meanings. When we say, holding back, which I usually do, is to impede the progress of something or to retain oneself in a dormant phase of life. On the other hand, looking back, which is more positive and which I ought to realize, is just looking back upon a period of time/events or simply recapturing the past with attention and liberation. Sometimes I think what if there’s such a thing as memory wipe, just like the story of Michael Jennings. That would be a great help for those in severe depression and other psychological disequilibrium. Dam**t! That’s too sci-fi, and I hate it (but I watched it, lol). If you believe that loser’s script exists then you’d be caught in more ruthless condition. Life is indeed a long journey, sometimes for you to move forward, you outghtta leave your luggage though it means a lot to you, even if it contains valuable history in life. So keep moving forward and from time to time look back. Besides everything resides at the back of your mind, if you need it, just look through.

She witnessed the cheers, the gleaming faces, the pose that talk different stories – the victories, the candid laughter, the striking masquerade, the giggles of get together, the tears of parting, the defeat, and the hope of gleaming eyes. More to these, she made history; she nurtured friendship, bridged the gap of loneliness, and captured the firsts in life that will last for a life time.
It was on June 2003 during my high school graduation when I received her, a wonderful present and priceless in use. I was flying on cloud nine. I was the first at school to have her. That made a real history in my journey in life, the commencement in the recording of my firsts in life. Graduation was pretty sad but I was able to enjoy the last moments with my friends by capturing their smiles, my first time to capture their cheery faces. After that, my friends went on to different schools, but I wasn’t sad at all because I got the life time memories of them.
She was with me in my journey throughout college life, during my “firsts” in the struggles of coping with the pressures and demands at school and at the same time my “firsts” in TGIF gigs, joyrides and side trips. The first thing that she made a blast in my academic life was with my group’s community documentation. Being a student nurse, going to community service and duty was a tough job coupled with the thought-provoking, detailed documentation. That was a big challenge for us and fortunately with her help, my group’s first community-diagnosis document presentation was a total blast; we received the Best Documentation Award. She made clear proof of our struggles, crams, and working out till wee hours. With that awesome “first experience”, everything followed in an astounding way. The time we were exposed to the hospital environment, she made the “firsts experience” unforgettable. Every hospital unit became a photo studio; the group hugs at the Operating Room after a success abdominal surgery, the striking pose of tired bodies but with glowing smiles after a nerve-wracking ER experience, the jovial stance after seeing a baby born, and other countless “firsts” hospital duty experience. But of course college life isn’t complete without the shenanigans, gigs, drinking spree, and unplanned road trips and my dear fella she was there – always there to record the special events and the not so special events but would definitely be after years, or maybe at the time when we’re all toothless. But the biggest impact that she gave to me was the priceless remembrance with my beloved clients. The memories with a 5-year old boy with a grave congenital heart disease that every click from her made my client smile. My first experience at psychiatric centers with my friendly clients who were very amused looking at our group pictures during the dance presentation, recreational activities, and group study. My first experience with a mother who underwent caesarean delivery of her first baby that the picture I took with his daughter at the Neonatal Intensive Unit made a great relief on her part. My first experience with a family who suffered a protracted pain of seeing their son lying on bed with tubes of respirator that the only way they could spend their time with him was to say stories and to take pictures. And my first experience with myself after looking at the pictures taken by her, my first Sony Digital Camera that made me realize how lucky I am and how beautiful life is. My first Sony Digital Camera doesn’t only capture events but life itself.
It definitely gave significance in my life just like the Sony’s World’s First 24.6 MP Full Frame DSLR: α900 DLSR Camera, which will really make my life-capturing activity more fun, clear, lively and priceless.
December One, the first day of jingle bells Christmas month. Okay, for today lets talk about something light, something interesting both for kiddoes and for adults who are not sexually active. Tadah, the magical treats of
Chocolates
Oh gee, I’m a certified chocoholic, an addiction –“Once you consume chocolate, chocolate will consume you”. And sometimes chocolate is better than sex. Dr. Ruth Westheimer says that “the taste of chocolate is a sensual pleasure in itself, existing in the same world as sex... For myself, I can enjoy the wicked pleasure of chocolate... entirely by myself. Furtiveness makes it better”
So before we talk about the interesting tidbits about Choc-ohh-late, lets review these facts: First and foremost, you gotta know that
Chocolate is a Vegetable
, believe or not,
LOL
Where does chocolate come from? Actually, it DOES grow on trees. It all starts with a small tropical tree, the Theobroma cacao, usually called simply, "cacao." (Pronounced ka-KOW. Theobroma is Greek for "food of the gods.") What are the health benefits of chocolates? Many, many!!! According to Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, if one swallows a cup of chocolate only three hours after a copious lunch, everything will be perfectly digested and there will still be room for dinner. It’s
good for digestion
Some says that a nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy? So it’s an
instant energy supplier
Chocolate causes certain endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. Meaning to say, Chocolate is an
Anti-depressant
Here’s one great news that I’ve learned about chocolate, way back high school, the mighty power of chocolates - Scientists have proven that dark chocolate has the same type of
flavonoids
that
antioxidant
rich foods such as green tea, red fruits and vegetables, and red wine do. High blood levels of flavonoids contribute to good cardiovascular health and may lower the risk of heart disease and certain cancers. Nutritionists are quick to point out, though, that the antioxidant benefits of a bar of chocolate can be achieved with far fewer calories by having steamed vegetables or a cup of green tea instead. See? But later on, I’ve read that proteins deactivate/alter the function of flavonoids as antioxidant, so it’s recommended to eat
BLACK Chocolate
Got it buddies? Weeeeeeeeee…..
Before I say goodbye, lemme tell you this gossip, Did you hear about the affair between Mr. Goodbar and Peppermint Patty? They had a baby, Ruth.
And with the reliable statistics: “A new British survey has revealed that 9 out of 10 people like Chocolate. The tenth lies.”
And with this inspiring quote: Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands - and then eat just one of the pieces
Oppsie, before you indulge yourself with bon bon, drop a gift for me amigo!!!
A week filled with wanderlust. A joyride lived through a first-class accommodation. My travel adventure last week was an opportunity of learning, a new realm of quest, a dream fulfilled.
My itinerary started on
India
I just took a train to come into a remote Indian village. Along the way, I met different persons and I visited different sacred temples wherein I offered some prayers and performed some Indian rituals. I also visited an Indian market filled with spices, colorful fabrics, and some unusual animals, which are usual to them, like the snakes caged in glass-sided tank. I was able to witness a funeral too, a Hindu funeral with the symbolic sanctity of the Cow. And I also learned that lime juice is popular in India especially in welcoming their guest. The Indian culture is very rich and unique.
My next sightsee took on the fairy-tale place of
Brudges, Belgium
I had a back-to-the-future feeling, a travel to the medieval Europe. The whole place was foggy and cold yet it’s filled with hotspots, the historical landmarks. I visited Burg Square, Brudges romantic canals and of course The Basilica of the Holy Blood (Heilig-Bloedbasiliek) that shelters the relic of the Holy Blood, which was brought to the city during the First Crusade. Brudges is very lovely.
My wanderlust reminds me of the beautiful poem of Emily Dickenson, There Is No Frigate like a Book (my second favorite, next to I’m nobody! Who are you?).
There Is No Frigate like a Book There is no frigate like a book To take us lands away, nor any coursers like a page Of prancing poetry. This traverse may the poorest take Without oppress of toll; How frugal is the chariot That bears a human soul!
Whoa, fellas. It’s too good to be true. Wanderlust to India and Belgium, whew! I just watched two great movies in one night - The Darjeeling Limited and In Brudges.
There is no Frigate like a movie marathon to take us lands away...
Watching these two fantastic movies is like a real journey to India and Belgium. The Darjeeling Limited was set in India while In Brudges, obviously set in Brudges, Belgium. Aside from wanderlust, these movies offer more than the trip of travelers aficionados, the substance and lesson are overflowing, intelligently crafted films.
The Darjeeling Limited
is about the spiritual quest of three brothers who have not encountered each other in a year after the funeral of their father. The movie has a comical surface, the tone and visuals of humor. But digging out the substance, it’s filled with lessons laid down in the metaphors and striking lines. In the end, you could easily relate to it because it talks about the general issue of journey in life. One good line from the movie – “thank you for using me”. One good scene – when the brothers are late for their train and in order to catch it they drop their treasured and personalized luggage and hop onto it while the have the chance. “They have finally learnt to 'Leave the baggage behind (forget the past) and seize an opportunity (make the most of the future)'.”
In Brudges
is a great movie too, Colin Farrell is different in this movie. It’s a movie about the two hit men set in beautiful place of Belgium. It was night before Christmas when their big boss from London made an order to kill someone, which made a great twist to the movie. It’s funny with the comic dialogue, full of surprising emotions, and the characters are pretty unconventional. The thing that caught me with this movie was their line “Shoot first, Sightsee later”
I had a catch up convo at nursing chat room last night. The environment was unrestricted, what do you expect from a public domain? The conversation’s more often than not goofing around and the shaggy dog story. It’s habitually initiated with the ritualistic hi-hello but then last night it progressed to a not-so-good segment …
Miss: oh sunny Sunny: oh miss, holla Jean Doe Miss: yep Sunny: Jean Doe the “Maharot”, lol Miss: you’re harassing me, nuisance Sunny: huh?
a slap
Let’s define the term “maharot”. I “goggled” (slang term if you used the google’s search engine) about it and obviously there’s no exact definition of that word, it’s just my idiot feat. So basically “mararot” is a slang pinoy term for a flirtatious act. This isn’t only used for women but also for men. This word was also exploited as an album title of a pinoy rock band. Based from the context on how I used “maharot” in our yak was only to describe her characteristics of being teasing. She said that her “true” personality is entirely different from how she project on the chat world. That’s it.
The virtual world of “chat” is different from the world according to your angle of reality. Why so serious honey? I just made my objective remark; my point is neither an absolute statement nor a reduction of her personality
. Then after some sorts of negotiations (lol), the issue proceeded to insensitivity. The simple equation was formulated, objective remark equals to insensitivity. On that ground, I quit the convo because it was totally pointless!
A slap of reality
My pointless points are here: we usually associate objective remarks to insensitive remarks because the frigging reality hurts and we don’t want gobble it. Reality hurts amigo! In the context of sociology, most pinoys are not used to direct/objective comments; we want the candy thing that’s why it’s hard to digest reality in an instant. And obviously some want their
achy heart to jump off from their chests and then slap their cold faces with a boiling reality
. Whew! That’s all, another dose of thoughtless thoughts.
I had a busy day today. I went to the SM mall very early to avail myself with their thanksgiving promo – there’s a 10% off in all their items. It’s a big deal for frugal person like me, more than ever with the financial crisis that we’re facing right now. So I hurried up so that I could buy gifts for my loved ones with discounts, he he he. It’s better to buy gifts early than to clash with the last day frenzied buyers. Oh gee, I felt that I broke my ankles and my patella got cracked because of extensive walking. But buying gifs for your loved ones is one of the best things about Christmas though it’s pretty tiring. I had fun walking around the malls and picking up good items but (long sigh) I missed my ate, my ate who’s now living thousand miles away from PI, my buddy when it comes to shopping and bargaining. I missed her a lot. It’s really different when you have someone with you in strolling or shopping. You wouldn’t mind the time or the call of your tummy because of the busyness and the happiness of talking and goofing around cheery. Anyhow, I had fun today, he he he, it’s just different.
Gee, i had a hard time carrying all these goodies.
and a found this funny thing at toy kingdom...
the running soup!!! horraay! am gonna get you, am starving to death!
Are you tired of dusting off the filthy powder on your room? That you’ve no sooner finished cleaning dust and then it starts to settle once again. Dusting off, settling in, then dusting off again and again, and settling in again and again. I don’t like dust and nobody wants a pad full of dust, right? I don’t get sick from indoor dust but I am allergic to it, yep, allergic seeing the unsightly condition of a house full of dust. What more if you have asthma? I bet you’d wish a dust-free environment but it’s impossible. It isn’t possible to keep a dust free house unless you rip off your carpeting, remove all your furniture, and set in tons of air filters or enclosed your house with the heavy duty Polyethylene like those of the sci-fi movies. Good morning Sir, thank you for coming How may I help you? Goodbye, come again...
The usual greetings whenever you go any establishment that offers good customer service. As a good consumer, I expect good service/products because I actually pay for it and I obviously add revenue to the company. Customer-Seller complements each other and the rule is very simple – I pay and you give me what I pay for. With this clear-cut parameter, problems are chuck out. But this plain rule isn’t uncomplicated as it appears. Problems usually arise not with the product per se but with the customer service. Here’s one good example: Last night my buddy and I went to McDonalds to satiate our hydrochloric-filled tummies after a long frenzied walk. McDo was actually the nearest fast food to reach on foot that’s why we decided to take our chow there. We were still gasping for some air when we arrived at the counter (and we were a bit filthy-looking jerks). My buddy made his heavy order, all in “go-large” followed by my regular order of burger, fries, and a regular coke. But the counter crew didn’t get our orders right because I was not yet done with my orders but she popped in if I would to make my orders in go large - I said no. I was very sure that time that she wasn’t listening because she’s engaged with our hyper-activeness. I repeated my order and she just gave me a strong sigh and a strong puckered brow. That made my world to stop, and I asked her if she got confused with our orders though I knew that she’s wasn’t really listening carefully. I repeated our orders and her response was contorted face, oh gee! And the worst thing, she punched in wrong orders. The nerves, I told her that she punched it wrong. She’s really taking for granted my annoyance and as if I don’t have the right to get mad. My buddy just pulled me out of the counter. I got really annoyed and I lost my desire for food. Then I saw the manager, I directly approached her and told the incident that happened. The manager was nice, she asked for an apology and I said alright. But I was not asking for an apology, good customer service is what I wanted. After the sloppy meal, I asked the full name of the crew and the manager, and the exact name of their branch. I told them that I am going to make a written report of the incident.
My point here is a matter of professionalism. Professionalism is not about education, trainings, or heavy titles. It’s about the character; it’s about “exhibiting a courteous, conscientious manner in the workplace”. If you choose to be a doctor, a business man, an agent, or a service crew of a certain food chain, you should act professionally.
It’s not the Darjeering experience, but it has the similarities though. Commonalities in terms of rituals, spiritual journey, and another segment in life that somehow had weaved a part of my being. It all started when I was convinced to join a meditation class then it progressed to yoga, and then the specks about Buddhism was injected to my sponge mind, which in turn made a twist in my life. But I heard a knock on my door to get off from the Darjeering limited and made my own journey on foot. (useless intro, i watched Darjeering last night)lol
no meat
Another thing that actually made my mind was the food. Soya, vegetables, and Soya, NO MEAT, meat is against the law. So there was time wherein the dilemma between being an herbivore or an omnivore came into my thoughts. Chimps, they do have the same (almost the same) guts like human but they don’t eat meat. But no way, I don’t belong to their species, my gray matter is way far better than theirs. The proposition here is if you can survive with no meat. Answer, yippee but it’s difficult and it’s pretty expensive. Here’s the fact that I’ve learned from my nutrition class – amino acids, the building block of proteins, that constitutes our muscles, promotes growth of tissues, and rebuilds shambles tissues are obviously very important to life. There are generally 8 essential amino acids, and the rule for this amino acids to work is “All or nothing”, easy, right? Meaning to say, you need the complete set if it or else no growth of tissues, no rebuilding and of course atrophy. Another proposition is that “protein is everywhere”, the essential amino acids must be complete though. Remember, the all or notthing law. If protein constitutes the muscles, meaning to say meat is also the main source. Got it? So the good source of protein is no other than MEAT. So living up as veggielicious is a hard work. If you’re going to infuse religion and other philosophical beliefs to this vegetarian issue, you oughtta find protein substitutes such as SOYA to halt brooding.
But last week, my friend has introduced me to this organic food mania. Though I am a bread addict and love the different varieties of bread from organic to French, her commodity is pretty unusual, new to my ears and palate. She bought this organic bread from cleanse-nourish company and it’s delicious. All ingredients are natural and best-picked. The nutritious and organic box contains MALUNGGAY bread, which is really new to me and the other kinds are carrot, wheat, and oats, which are all familiar to me but the taste is really new. Another funky thing about this bread was the dipping; they got malunggay dip, pesto Pilipino dip, garlic and cashew dip, and the lemon and olive oil combi dip. The ratings: 5 star delicious-oh!!!According to my friend, one box of that bread contains all the essential proteins, ohws? Whatever, i can't live without MEAT. bow!
